REAL STRENGTH

HUMANITY! ROOT OUT INACTION!
BABAJI - 24 MAY 1983

Our main aim is that there be universal peace. How can we obtain this peace? We can achieve this by eliminating all differences between caste and creed, by eliminating all inhumanity among us. There must be only one caste and one creed-humanity. Become human.

The only religion is humanity. There must be tolerance and forgiveness. It is our duty to set an example for this. Everyone must be human. Everyone must be courageous, facing the difficulties of life with bravery. Save yourselves and others from the adharma (lawlessness) of the world. Cowardly people are like dead people. I want to create a world of brave people who face life as it comes. We want to save the victims of atrocities and bring them out of their troubles. We want to bring peace not only to one country but to the whole world-our aim is universal peace.

All of you must take a vow to go from house to house, from place to place, and help the needy. You have to root out the inaction which is destroying man. Inaction and idleness are the chief obstacles to man's progress. If you learn right action, you can do anything. Action is mahayoga-the highest yoga. you should progress through action. The political leaders of all countries preach inaction through strikes. You should have nothing to do with this. Man is meant for action.

JAI MAHAMAYA KI JAI!

LET THE UNIVERSE TAKE CARE OF THE DETAILS
Shared by vividLight

Let the Universe take care of the details is the KEY!

That's the key. Mike Dooley (Adventurer's Club) in his Notes from the Universe calls the details "the cursed hows" because it's not our job to worry about them.

If you haven't taken the Oath yet... I highly recommend making it a priority

http://www.tut.com/

Here's The Oath:

"In the face of adversity, uncertainty and conflicting sensory information, I hereby pledge to remain ever mindful of the magical, infinite, loving reality in which I live. A reality that conspires tirelessly in my favor.

I further recognize that living within space and time, as a Creation amongst my Creations, is the ultimate Adventure, because thoughts become things, dreams come true, and all things remain forever possible.

As a Being of Light, I hereby resolve to live, love and be happy, at all costs, no matter what, with reverence and kindness for All. So be it!"

The Universe ROCKS!

REFLECTIONS--WE HAVE TO LET YOU GO
by Alan Cohen
From the Global Light Network Newsletter

I have a new favorite cartoon. It's a rendering by James True (www.jtrue.com) that's both humorous and profound. The cartoon shows a tomato stalk with several tomatoes growing on it, at various stages of development. One tomato is large and ripe. The tomato stalk says to the ripe tomato, "We have to let you go." The title of the cartoon is Layoffs at the Plant.

The profound nature of the cartoon is that the large tomato is ripe to be picked. Of course the plant has to let it go because it has no further purpose on the stalk. If it stays it will rot and die. If it leaves, it will serve its next purpose.

The cartoon is a fabulous metaphor for why and when we need to be let go from a job, relationship, living situation, or any station of life. Life is not cruelly kicking you out of a place you still need to be. It is moving you on to where you really need to be for your joy and the gifts you can offer. You may think you are being cast aside, unfairly treated, or victimized, but there is a far bigger plan unfolding than meets the eye. You have completed your purpose where you have been, and your journey is about to reveal a new vista.. That's why we have to let you go. The "we" is not your boss or your lover. It is the wise and loving collective universe.

A woman in one of my seminars reported, "Everything I have to let go of, I leave claw marks on." If you believe there is safety in history, you will cling to the old out of fear. If you trust in the security of destiny, you will embrace the new out of trust. As I noted in an earlier work, it takes courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real safety in what is no longer meaningful. There is more safety in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Paramahansa Yogananda advised, "What comes of itself, let it come. What goes of itself, let it go." If you have to struggle to get something or to hold on to it, you are trying to swim upstream of life. There is a stream of good that flows to you, through you, and around you. When you move with the stream, your good shows up in the right way, place, and time. When you buck the stream you fight to get and fight to hold on. You do not need to fight to hold on to anything that is truly yours. If it is truly yours, it will stay with you by the Law of Attraction and the Right of Consciousness. You own what you own not by manipulation, but by who you are.

When it's time to let something go, the universe will let you know. If you get laid off, or your landlord sells the house, or your lover leaves, despair not. There is a reason for the change, and something better is in store. The more energy you spend complaining or resisting the change, the harder your transition will be, and the longer it will take for your next good to show up. Define the current change as good and helpful, and your next rewarding position will appear more quickly, easily, and naturally.

I recently saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the movie fable about a man who is born old and grows younger over time. To be honest, during most of the movie I wondered, "And the point is?" Yet upon thinking about it, I realized there is a good point to be extracted, although in my opinion the filmmakers spent a couple of extra hours to make it. As an old man, Benjamin meets and falls in love with a little girl, but their huge age difference prevents them from having a relationship. As Benjamin grows younger and she grows older, the time comes when they are the same age, and the two have a glorious love affair. As he continues to grow younger and she older, they are drawn apart again. The apex of the movie is their thrilling love affair at the right time.

While the movie plays on the sadness of the two lovers being torn apart by time, it takes a narrow view of reality. Like many gut-wrenching romances, It suggests there is one perfect soulmate for you, whom you can enjoy for a moment, but then some evil circumstance will wrest them from you and you must muddle in the pits of despair for the rest of your life.

Nothing could be further from the truth. It is true that good things come and go, and not one of them lasts forever. But what the Button movie and other romances do not tell you is that when one glorious experience ends, another one begins. To think there is one moment of good for you in your life, and when it's gone, it's gone, is to see the universe through incredibly narrow blinders. Life is more like a square dance or a Sufi dance where you enjoy one connection for a while, and then you move on to another great one.

So when your lover or the plant says, "We have to let you go," do not interpret the event as loss. Interpret the event as "ripe." While in the physical world a tomato is ripe once for one purpose, as a spiritual being you have an infinite array and procession of ripenesses for many different purposes that go on literally forever, each more fulfilling than the last.

Sure, there are layoffs at the plant. But the plant of life has roots that spread far beyond the stem the eyes can see.

AUSTRALIAN STORY--RIGHT AS RAIN
http://www.abc.net.au/austory/specials/rightasrain/default.htm
part I

This presentation is about Peter Andrews, an insightful, brilliant human being who has used his god-given ability to become wise, and has labored hard to transform damaged land in Australia…land which was eroded and minerally deficient and for all practical purposes useless. Peter Andrews has turned around these tracts of land and made them into lush, fertile, productive top soil.

His unorthodox methods have recovered sad pieces of property and made them into moist, green properties filled with healthy nutrients. He has a natural sense in what he does for restoring land, conserving water and creating healthy organic matter in the water.

The way he works with the land, creates a fast recovery in a short time--two years--and even though he has demonstrated this over and over again, he has not been able to persuade the government and scientists of his country to see the wisdom of his ways. He can produce fantastic results for a small fraction of what scientists and research have come up with in their programs thus far.

He has been doing this for 30 years and only recently has anyone of authority been willing to listen to him or support him in his efforts. Peter knows that bio-diversity in plants is the answer, for they stabilize the degraded landscape.

Watch this compelling story of a human being doggedly working to better the landscape of his piece of heaven and the challenges, heartbreak and victories of his life.

CONSCIOUSNESS IS WHO WE ARE INTERVIEW WITH DAVID ICKE

Kelley has been after me to read info by David Icke for a while. When I got this visual presentation to watch this interview with Icke, it felt like time. I was most impressed by the information and points of view offered--David’s information as well as the viewpoints of the two interviewers Carrie and Bill who host the Project Camelot website.

Recognizing that consciousness is where we need to focus our attention right now instead of placing our attention (and worrying about) all the distractions that are being created and maintained to hold us hostage in this world, is a huge step toward awakening. Recognizing that just becoming awake to this is not going to create the world we really want to live in, is another big step. We must be taking action and it must be happening WITHIN ourselves is the 3rd huge step--we must be proactive in this inner journey on a continuous basis.

Please take the time to watch this interview. It is 2 hours and 8 minutes in length.

WHAT RESEARCH SAYS ABOUT APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
By Dr. Mercola

First of all, please recognize that this document is NOT intended to be a comprehensive or exhaustive analysis of apple cider vinegar. However you can help add to the current understanding of this topic by adding your own comments at the bottom of this page.

If you are aware of any additional benefits, please register for Vital Votes if you haven’t done so already.

There have been many lofty claims about the miraculous healing powers of apple cider vinegar, and many people do seem to be experiencing some health benefits. However, much of what you read about this product on the Internet is overstated, or simply unfounded.

Some proponents of apple cider vinegar claim it can cure everything from diabetes to acid reflux, to warts, cancer, arthritis, athlete’s foot, halitosis, high cholesterol, gout, poison oak, urinary tract infections, and even head lice!

Oh -- and yes, it can help you with your Easter egg dying as well.

With the surging interest in alternative medicine, you can now even get apple cider vinegar in pill form.

Dramatic claims aside, let’s examine what is really known about vinegar, based on the scientific studies to date.

Latest Research Findings on Vinegar and Diabetes

There has been surprisingly little research about using vinegar for therapeutic health purposes, given the large number of dramatic claims about it. However, lack of scientific studies is a common problem for many natural and alternative therapies.

Perhaps the most researched and the most promising of apple cider vinegar’s benefits are in the area of type 2 diabetes. Several studies have found that vinegar may help lower blood glucose levels.

In 2004, a study cited in the American Diabetes Foundation’s publication Diabetes Care[i] found that taking vinegar before meals significantly increased insulin sensitivity and dramatically reduced the insulin and glucose spikes that occur after meals. The study involved 29 people, divided into three groups:

One third had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

One third had prediabetic signs.

One third were healthy.

The results were quite significant:
All three groups had better blood glucose readings with the vinegar than with the placebo.

People with prediabetic symptoms benefitted the most from the vinegar, cutting their blood glucose concentrations by nearly half.

People with diabetes improved their blood glucose levels by 25 percent with vinegar.

People with prediabetic symptoms had lower blood glucose than the healthy participants after both drank vinegar.

A follow-up study geared at testing vinegar’s long-term effects yielded an unexpected but pleasant side effect: moderate weight loss. In this study, participants taking two tablespoons of vinegar prior to two meals per day lost an average of two pounds over the four-week period, and some lost up to four pounds.

In 2007, another study cited by WebMD involving 11 people with type 2 diabetes found taking two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before bed lowered glucose levels in the morning by 4 to 6 percent.

Although the research to date looks favorable, more studies are needed to confirm the extent of vinegar’s insulin stabilization benefits.

Vinegar and Blood Pressure

There is far less research exploring vinegar and heart health.

In 2006, one study showed that vinegar could lower cholesterol in laboratory rats[ii]. Another study on rats[iii] found their blood pressure could be lowered by the acetic acid in vinegar.

However, these results do not necessarily apply to people; therefore, we really need some research on humans before conclusions can be drawn.

Possible Cancer Combatant

There is some positive preliminary research suggesting apple cider vinegar can help prevent cancer. A few laboratory studies have found that vinegar may be able to kill cancer cells or slow their growth. However, epidemiological studies of people have yielded confusing results.

One study found that taking vinegar was associated with a decreased risk of esophageal cancer. Another associated it with an increased risk for bladder cancer. Clearly, the jury is still out on cancer prevention.

An Apple a Day

Those who tout apple cider vinegar’s wide-ranging benefits say its healing power comes from the abundance of nutrients that remain, even after the apples are fermented. They contend that vinegar is rich in minerals, vitamins (including potassium, calcium, and beta-carotene), complex carbohydrates and fiber, pectin, amino acids, and beneficial enzymes.

The problem is, when standard nutritional analyses of apple cider vinegar are done, it is found to be a poor source of most of these nutrients. For example, the one milligram of calcium found in a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar does not come close to the 1,000 milligrams a typical adult needs each day.

It has been claimed that soluble fiber in the vinegar, in the form of pectin, binds to cholesterol and helps carry it out of your body, thereby improving your lipid profile. However, apple cider vinegar contains no measurable pectin or any other fiber, for that matter.

Perhaps apple cider’s magic may come from the vitamins it contains?

Wrong again.

According to the USDA, apple cider vinegar has no measurable vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, beta-carotene, or folate -- and it’s equally lacking in amino acids, lycopene, or any other nutritional elements.

Then, is this stuff just good for cleaning windows and dying eggs.

Hardly.

Even though it is devoid of many of the traditionally valued nutrients, evidence of apple cider vinegar’s health benefits has been witnessed for hundreds -- maybe thousands -- of years[iv].

So, what can explain this mysteriously beneficial elixir?

It could be partially related to the fact that vinegar is a diluted acid, specifically acetic acid, which is responsible for its sour taste and pungent smell. The pH changes it induces may contribute to some of its actions.

Some of the dramatic benefits may also be derived from yet-to-be-identified phytochemicals (beneficial compounds in plants) that scientists are now discovering in a number of different foods. In fact, many of your strongest weapons against cancer are the phytochemicals found in fruits and vegetables.

The more we know, the more we realize we don’t know.

One thing that apple cider vinegar is high in is acetic acid. Like other acids, acetic acid can increase your body’s absorption of important minerals from the foods you eat. Therefore, it is possible that drinking a mild tonic of vinegar and water just before meals might improve your body’s ability to absorb the essential minerals locked in foods. Apple cider vinegar might help you get more out of your leafy greens!

How can apple cider vinegar help regulate your insulin?

One theory is that it might activate some of the digestive enzymes that break down carbohydrates into sugar, thus slowing absorption of sugar from a meal into your bloodstream. This gives your body more time to pull sugar out of your blood, preventing your sugar levels from spiking. The Gnarlier, the Better

When purchasing an apple cider vinegar, you’ll want to avoid the perfectly clear, “sparkling clean” varieties you commonly see on grocery store shelves. Instead, you want organic, unfiltered, unprocessed apple cider vinegar, which is murky and brown.

When you try to look through it, you will notice a cobweb-like substance floating in it. This is known as “mother,” and it indicates your vinegar is of good quality.

The reason manufacturers distil vinegar is to remove this rather schmurky looking stuff that most folks won’t buy. But in this case, it’s the murky looking stuff you want. As with everything else, the more processed a food is, the less nutritious, and this holds true for apple cider vinegar.

The first vinegar was the result of an ancient accident.

Long ago, someone stored a keg of wine too long (presumably a poorly sealed one that allowed oxygen in). When the eager drinkers opened it, they found a sour liquid instead of wine. The name “vinegar” comes from the French words for “sour wine.”

How Should Apple Cider Vinegar be Used?

There are no official guidelines about taking vinegar internally. Some people take one to two teaspoons a day, mixed in a glass of water or juice, before meals or in the morning, and report benefits from doing so. The risk of taking small amounts of apple cider vinegar seems low.

Apple cider vinegar makes a delightful salad dressing. You can even make a vinegar-based coleslaw, rather than the usual creamy mayonnaise-based one. It is good on fish as well and serves as a great tenderizing marinade for meat, giving it a bit of zing. And it’s tasty drizzled over cooked greens.

If you are considering taking it medicinally, there are some things to keep in mind[v]:

Apple cider vinegar is highly acidic. The main ingredient is acetic acid, which is quite harsh. You should always dilute it with water or juice before swallowing. Pure, straight apple cider vinegar could damage your tooth enamel or the tissues of your mouth and throat.

Long-term excessive use could conceivably cause low potassium levels and lower bone density.

Apple cider vinegar could theoretically interact with diuretics, laxatives, and medicines for diabetes and heart disease.

If you are under the care of a physician and you want to try a course of apple cider vinegar, talk to your doctor first to make sure it won’t interfere with any of the medications you are presently on.

Apple Cider Vinegar -- It’s Not Just a Breakfast Drink

Vinegar is one of the best natural agents for removing certain pesticides and bacteria from your fresh produce. Of course, you don’t need apple cider vinegar for this -- any basic white vinegar will do, and for a fraction of the price.

Gayle Povis Alleman, MS, RD recommends a solution of 10 percent vinegar to 90 percent water as a bath to briefly soak produce. Just place your veggies or fruit in the solution, swish it around, and rinse thoroughly.

Don’t use this process on fragile fruits (like berries), since they could be damaged in the process or soak up too much vinegar through their porous skins.

Apple cider vinegar has long been used as a natural hair care product. Its acidity is close to that of human hair; it’s a good conditioner and cleaning agent, as well as an effective germ killer. You can visit http://www.apple-cider-vinegar-benefits.com for information on how to make a vinegar hair rinse.

Vinegar also has some applications for pets, including cleaning ears, relief of certain skin problems, and combating fleas and ticks[vi].

Some horse owners claim apple cider vinegar is an excellent natural horse fly spray and horse hoof care product.

Vinegar is a great, all around cleaning agent for everything from countertops to windows.

Obviously, we need a great deal more research to investigate vinegar’s full healing potential. While it is not likely an all-encompassing miracle cure, it can certainly be useful in a variety of ways, for a variety of conditions. It’s one more multi-purpose tool to have in your natural pantry.

And if you are really ambitious and adventuresome, you might want to try your hand at making apple cider vinegar from scratch. Detailed instructions can be found at
http://www.apple-cider-vinegar-benefits.com.
